Thank you for stopping by! Raising rare breed animals is a very important part of our work here at the museum and our Agricultural Department staff are responsible for the care and well-being of seven different types of rare and endangered livestock. These animals are very different types from those seen on most farms today. The next time you visit the museum, we hope you will be sure to take note of these animals and how they differ from the cows, goats, pigs, chicken and sheep you may be familiar with. To learn more about these animals and their ‘role’ in our 1627 English Village, click on RBP (coming next).

In an effort to help support the museums good work, we are pleased to introduce three of these breeds ‘up for adoption’; Milking Devon Cattle, Arapawa Goats and Wiltshire Sheep. For as little as $25 you can ‘adopt’ one of these four-legged friends. Ready? (Click here).
