With the return of the Fuller Shallop to Plymouth's State Pier just weeks away, after restoration at Lowell's Boat Shop, the PPM Member program for June explores the medical legacy of Samuel and Bridget Fuller, whose memory is honored by the shallop. Samuel Fuller served as Deacon of the Plymouth congregation and he also was the colony's surgeon and physician.

Join Richard Pickering, Plimoth Patuxet's Deputy Executive Director for an evening discussing this integral Plymouth family. For the second half of the program, he will be joined by Josh Meyer, Museum Curator and Director of Museum Gardens & Landscapes. Together, they'll explore medical thinking from Antiquity through the Middle Ages and how it influenced health care at Plymouth Colony.
