Ocean Animals of Patuxet

Have you ever been inside a whale? Now you can! Meet Delilah, a life-sized, inflatable North Atlantic right whale based on a real whale who lived along the East Coast. Educators from the Whale and Dolphin Conservancy will help us understand how important whales are to the health of our oceans and what we can do to help protect them. This special 60-minute program includes exploring inside Delilah to learn about whale anatomy and other facts about this beloved, endangered mammal. After the program, join Plimoth Patuxet’s own Wampanoag and colonial educators for stories and activities exploring the importance of whales to the people of Patuxet and Plymouth. These programs have a suggested donation of $5. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
