Scouting Saturdays: History Beneath Our Feet (Archaeology)

Books, art, songs, landscapes and buildings, and people can give us some of the pictures. But what can you learn from what our ancestors left behind beneath our feet? In this afternoon of digging and discovery, scouts will learn about archaeology and how this special blend of history and science can help us better understand our shared past. For all the difficult and dirty work, scouts will be well-positioned to complete their archaeology patches and badges. Best for Boy Scouts and Cadette Girl Scouts Ages 11 and up.
