Spotlight Program
Wampanoag Nation Singers and Dancers | 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
The Wampanoag Nation Singers and Dancers are musicians, educators, and artisans from the Mashpee, Aquinnah, and Herring Pond tribal communities who share eastern social songs and dances through performances and educational programs.
Dressed in traditional clothing and accompanied by water drum and handcrafted rattles, they invite community participation, centering a collective experience around shared movement. They have appeared at major cultural institutions and universities across New England and beyond, toured nationally and internationally, and for three years represented Indigenous communities at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade by leading the First Light Float and delivering the televised land acknowledgement.
