Meet the Author & Book Signing: Marian Hannah Carlson, THE MAYFLOWER MOUSE
What if a tiny stowaway had kept a journal of the Mayflower's voyage?
Meet author Marian Hannah Carlson and discover The Mayflower Mouse, a lively, illustrated retelling of the Pilgrims' journey through the eyes of Uncle Sam, a stowaway mouse who chronicles the voyage across the Atlantic, explorations on Cape Cod, and the challenges of establishing a new home in Plimoth. Along the way, Uncle Sam offers a unique perspective on William Bradford, the Wampanoag, and the historic 1621 harvest gathering.
Combining engaging storytelling, historical artwork, and excerpts from primary sources, The Mayflower Mouse introduces young readers to the people and events of the past while encouraging curiosity about history, journal-writing, and the stories of their own families.
Join us at the Plimoth Patuxet's Visitor Center Museum Shop to meet Marian Hannah Carlson, purchase a copy of The Mayflower Mouse, and have your book signed by the author.
