Solar Eclipse Viewing @ Plimoth Patuxet
Monday, April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. Be a part of history and (safely!) view the solar eclipse with Plimoth Patuxet!
In Plymouth, we are expected to experience about 91.6% totality beginning at about 2:30 p.m. and ending around 4:30 p.m., with peak coverage at about 3:30 p.m.
Ways to View the Eclipse with Plimoth Patuxet
2:30 - 3:00 p.m
Plimoth Patuxet Museums, we will be participating in a NASA crowdsourcing project to predict what the eclipse corona will look like. Join us next to the Craft Center to try your hand at predicting what the eclipse corona will look like.
2:30 - 4:00 p.m.
The eclipse can be partially viewed from Plimoth Patuxet Museums, with peak coverage at about 3:30 p.m. While supplies last, receive a free pair of special solar eclipse viewing glasses (approved by NASA).
This program is free with Museum admission.
