Media Alert: Plimoth Patuxet Museums Announces Schedule for Mayflower II’s 2025 Sail
Event will mark the first time Mayflower II has been undersail in five years
Plymouth, Massachusetts (August 4, 2025) – Plimoth Patuxet Museums (formerly Plimoth Plantation) announced today that Mayflower II, the full-scale reproduction of the tall ship that brought the Pilgrims to the Wampanoag homeland of Patuxet in 1620, will be undersail in Cape Cod Bay on August 5 through 8, beginning at 10 am each day. This multi-day event—which marks the first time Mayflower II has been undersail in five years—will conclude with a philanthropic public sail on Friday, August 8, in commemoration of Massachusetts 250.

Daily Schedule:
9 am - 10 am: Mayflower II tugged from her home berth at State Pier in Plymouth, Massachusetts, further into Cape Cod Bay
10 am - onward: Mayflower II undersail in Cape Cod Bay. Return times will vary by day. She will return under tow to her home berth at State Pier in Plymouth, Massachusetts, each day
