Mayflower Sail Kyle Klein Revolutionary Ideas Started Here Tote Bag

In commemoration of America 250, Plimoth Patuxet Museums is celebrating the revolutionary ideas that took root here long before 1776. From Indigenous lifeways that have sustained communities in this region since time immemorial, to 1620 and the signing of the Mayflower Compact, and onward to today, the ideas, conversations, and events that happened here, set in motion the American Experiment and carved a path to 1776.

Our Revolutionary Ideas Started Here merchandise, exclusive to Plimoth Patuxet Museums, was inspired by the 17th century and its integral place in American history and democracy. The script used on the items features the handwriting of Governor William Bradford, taken from his copy of the Mayflower Compact in his work, Of Plimoth Plantation. Bradford's handwriting represents both a literal and intellectual mark—a tangible link to the past that remains central to the telling of history in the 21st century.

Every purchase supports Plimoth Patuxet’s educational mission, creating powerful encounters with history for students, families, and lifelong learners, and helping steward the next generation of civic thinkers. Your pride in Massachusetts, the South Shore, and Plymouth does more than celebrate the past. It helps ensure its lessons endure for the next 250 years!
