On Saturday, July 11, Mayflower II sailed in Boston Harbor as part of Sail Boston’s 2026 spectacular Parade of Sail. The crown jewel of America’s Hometown waterfront, Plymouth, and a national treasure, the ship joined an international fleet of tall ships for one of the summer’s most anticipated maritime celebrations in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Against the backdrop of the city’s skyline, Mayflower II, who will soon be commemorating 70 years since her 1957 arrival in Plymouth Harbor, demonstrated why she has become one of America’s most beloved historic ships.
Mayflower II had the honor of kicking off the Parade in the first flotilla with other historic ships of New England. Following the USS Constitution, Mayflower II joined the USCGC Eagle, Massachusetts' official state ship Ernestina-Morrissey, and the Schooner Adventure.
For many onboard, the voyage was more than a front-row seat to an extraordinary event, it was an opportunity to directly support the ongoing preservation and operation of Mayflower II. Guests who joined one of our philanthropic sails helped ensure that our remarkable vessel and historic ship in her own right, continues to inspire future generations through hands-on educational, living history, and unforgettable experiences on the water. Every ticket helped advance Plimoth Patuxet’s educational mission while creating memories that will last a lifetime.
