A Sweet Thank You to Our Members

Earlier this summer, Plimoth Patuxet honored a community of support with Member Appreciation Day. This special event, which featured unique perks and summer fun, was dedicated to celebrating the individuals and families whose continued engagement helps sustain the Museum’s mission, programs, collections, and educational experiences throughout the year.

This year's Member Appreciation Day was a sweet celebration of the incredible members who help keep history alive every day. From exploring the Museum's historic sites to enjoying live music and an ice cream social, the day was filled with laughter, gratitude, and plenty of memorable moments.

Members kicked off the festivities by stopping at the Welcome Table to pick up their exclusive member sticker, enter a giveaway for a chance to win a free year of membership, and grab a scavenger hunt guide that sent them on an adventure throughout the Museum.

The fun didn't stop there! Local musician Abby Vail kept toes tapping with live music, lawn games brought out everyone's competitive side, and our ice cream social proved to be the coolest place on a warm summer day. Members also struck a pose at our Polaroid photo station, creating keepsakes that captured smiles as timeless as the stories we are privileged to share.

Member support does so much more than open the Museum’s doors—it helps preserve history, support educational programs, and create meaningful experiences for visitors of all ages. As Executive Director Tom Begley shared, "Our members play an essential role in advancing our educational mission." Member Appreciation Day gave us the perfect opportunity to celebrate that generosity and say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who continues to invest in preserving the past for future generations.

To everyone who joined us—thank you for making the day so much fun. Your support means the world to us, and because of you, history continues to come to life every single day.
