Plimoth Patuxet Winter Fine Arts & Craft Fair

From the acclaimed museum that brings the 17th century to life through creative expression and traditional lifeways, comes the Winter Fine Arts & Craft Fair at Plimoth Patuxet!

Plan now to attend this extraordinary showcase and marketplace of fine arts and craft at the Museum’s Hornblower Visitor Center. Immerse yourself in a festive winter setting and meet the artisans. Shop for hand-crafted gifts from a variety of independent artists and makers, and watch hands-on demonstrations. Enjoy historically inspired holiday food and drink!

Plimoth Patuxet's Visitor Center courtyard will be turned into a Winter Beer Garden, presented by Mayflower Brewing Company. Whether engaging in 17th century-inspired cheer, listening to a live musical performance, hopping on a merry hay ride or enjoying hot cocoa by the fire, fairgoers of all ages will find this gathering a delightful way to celebrate the season in the quintessential New England way – just in time for the holidays!

Artisan Spotlight

Vincent Crotty

Vincent Crotty paints in an indoor setting with a bookcase behind him.

Vincent Crotty is an Irish-born artist who has been living in the United States since 1990. Regarded for his landscapes, seascapes, nocturnes, and figurative paintings, he paints with fluid and vigorous brushstrokes, balanced by sensitive color. His paintings reveal a remarkable understanding of light — transforming everyday subject matter into images that are memorable and moving. Painting from life as often as he can, Vincent’s plein-air approach brings a feeling of energy and immediacy to his work.

His paintings convey vivid moods and evocative depictions of time and place, guided by intuition and a fearless playfulness with paint itself, Vincent expresses a unique vision in contemporary representational painting. His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions in the U.S. and Ireland. He has received many awards, including a first place in the overall category from PleinAir Magazine.

Vincent will present a live painting demonstration at Plimoth Patuxet’s Fine Arts & Craft Fair, sharing insights into his creative approach and inspiration.
