Plymouth has always been where the American Democracy story begins.
In 2026, we sail that story forward — together — in commemoration of America 250.
This July, as part of America’s 250th anniversary and Sail Boston, Mayflower II is sailing from Plymouth to Boston Harbor — and when she arrives, she represents all of us who live, work, and enjoy time in Plymouth, America's Hometown. This will be one of the most visible civic moments our region will see for decades, with media attention, public events, and leaders from across the Commonwealth, and Plimoth Patuxet Museums (steward and operator of Mayflower II) is inviting all Plymouth businesses to be a part of the moment!
This is more than a voyage. It is Plymouth and Mayflower II taking our place on the largest civic stage of the decade.
As an internationally recognized symbol of America’s beginnings and a National Register historic vessel, Mayflower II represents the story and revolutionary ideas that started here, in Patuxet and Plymouth, and shaped the ideas of community, self-governance, and civic life that define our Nation.
When Mayflower II sails into Boston Harbor this July, she will carry Plymouth with her.
