Plimoth After Dark
Third Fridays, January through November, 7 p.m.
Experience Plimoth as you've never seen it before- after hours! Join us for our evening series of 17th-Century-inspired cocktails, craft, and just enough learning.
Sweet bags were handmade sachets created with herbs and oils to keep close to the body for different medicinal and aromatic uses. Pilgrims would stuff them with hops for sleep, or rose petals for perfume. Join us for this ladies’ night to make your own potpourri sweet bags! Enjoy the aromatherapy of various essential oils and plants while learning more about how they would have been used in the 17th century! Finally, create the perfect combination of ingredients to take home your sweet-smelling sachet.
Learn how to transform fresh flowers and foliage into everlasting works of art! During this Plimoth After Dark you will learn and try the process of flower pressing. Finally, arrange a variety of pre-pressed dried flowers and foliage on glass tiles. Your artwork can then be used as a drink coaster or add a hook and hang it on a wall.
