Filming request plimoth patuxet

Filming Requests

Plimoth Patuxet works regularly with television production companies, documentaries, and feature film projects.

Some of the projects that the Museum has been involved with have appeared on PBS; The History Channel; The Food Network; The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and many more. In order to maintain the guest experience, any on-site production is permitted only with advance approval. Approved on-site production is thoroughly choreographed with staff to result in minimal impact to the sites and the overall guest experience. Plimoth Patuxet is open to guests daily, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, late March through the Sunday following Thanksgiving Day.

Plimoth Patuxet Museum Sites

The Historic Patuxet Homesite is an integral exhibit at Plimoth Patuxet. The Museum is not currently considering filming requests for this site.

Filming Projects Considered

All filming projects must submit a proposal, which will be evaluated and approved at the discretion of Plimoth Patuxet Museum staff based on:

  • The goals of the project
  • Museum staff availability
  • Appropriateness of project content
  • Impact upon the Museum's daily operations for our Museum guests and employees
  • And the amount of public exposure the project will provide for Plimoth Patuxet

Priority will be given to but is not limited to travel, film, and television productions. Projects may not be achievable if they conflict with the Museum's events or previously scheduled activities.
